A common place

I went to a church where you knew what women’s husbands were the pervy ones to avoid entirely

I would wander the halls

Running around

Never stopping moving

I was a very bored church kid that got more and more bored as I got older

I looked to books as a child

I read. Craved it. Skipped school to finish books. Went to bookshops and libraries and literary centers instead of school for years

I couldn’t stand not being able to learn what I wanted

In ninth grade, I switched my math homework for Japanese with a friend and I learned basic Japanese calligraphy instead of algebra 2.

I loved it! I was hooked. It gave me the opportunity to draw and write in one swoop. Eventually becoming a part of my art process.

So yeah, that was the year I went as a sexy republican intern for Halloween.

Hahahaha I was wild as a 15 year old.
