So, I get that AI is new-ish and exciting. It talks to you and makes you feel special. It does shitty customer service jobs as terribly as those who hated their jobs.
I get that those who have their pockets filled with money from AI preach the wonders and collective societal benefits.
But they are full of shit. AI and its development takes a lot of fresh water to keep moving.
Fresh water that over the last few decades has been bottled and privatized and sold back to you filled with microplastic filth.
Like the Bush family has made a ton of money from tax payer dollars with their own privatized water sources. And do you know in what country? Cause their water isn’t in the United States, funny thing for a former president and his family to do, right?
Disturbing really.
When AI takes your job faster than any immigrant can and then becomes more valuable than you, so much so that giving it water before you becomes common place, it won’t be so cute anymore. Won’t be so convincingly useful. Won’t make you feel so special.
And you can sit there and say that it helps but it doesn’t. It will destroy the lives of many many many people.
So yeah don’t buy their marketing schemes cause they are profiting not only from the AI itself but also from the private water use. Disgusting!
